Welcome To Miami

MIAMI is a brand spanking new night at Sound Control in Manchester and will be hosting some of the best in Dubstep/Future Bass/Tropical every 2nd Saturday of every month. MIAMI is ran by Manchesters own James Martin aka JAYOU, who will be dropping some bangers as per usual. I recently caught him spinning the wheels of steel at Creep! in Leeds last week, and if you haven't seen him already, you're bound to be blown away by this guys talent. Plus It’s going to be a big year for the man, he's recently been in the studio with Diplo, and a mega remix of partysquad’s ‘Murderer’, make sure you catch him before he becomes huge.

On the bill for the opening party is:

BORGORE
JAMES BLAKE
RAFFERTIE
PIRATE SOUNDSYSTEM
GEORGE LENTON
JAYOU
OLDBOY
INDRA
SAPNARELLA

Tickets are priced at £6 if you buy in advance - there will also be more available on the door priced at £8 so get your asses down there early to avoid missing out on a sick night. So see you there, and I hope you have your meanest bass face on, cause its going to be a FiLTHY night!

I never knew Religion was this good

I have just recently discovered these guys. Religion are from LA, California and consist of Jared, Kevin and Nick.
They create funky electro house. I'd say they're a bastard child of Justice and James Brown. Their is so much soul in their music, but there is also filthy attitude of a bass that comes with it. They have remixed songs by artists such as The Bloody Beetroots, Steve Aoki and La Roux, but by far their best remix is "We Are Animals" by Crookers ft. Soulwax & Mixhell. The chopped up vocals and the distorted bass are a nice variation from the original.

Another stand out track is "The Night" This is some serious producing. I mean, it's got everything. You'll just have to listen to see what I'm talking about.
I think that Religion are one to look out for in 2010.

Hey!

So this is the start of something new. I'll post regularly here cause y'know, I want to take over the world.
Diplo is one of the most popular producers in the world right now, working with not just electronic acts, but also as you should know by now he has been recruited by non other than Sheffield's scream team Rolo Tomassi. Personally I'm looking forward to their 2nd album which is out this year.
But anyway back to Diplo, last year he released a track with Dutch DJ/Producer Laidback Luke, it was one of my tracks of 2009, BUT, it had an amazing remix done by Hungarian electro team
Slap In The Bass and it took the song to a new level in my mind. So here you go, the first post and what a way to say Hey!
